Meet Australian Wildlife Photographer David Whelan
Dayflash Explorer and Animal Image Expert
When you see something you really want in life, sometimes you have to reach for it. If reaching for it isn’t enough, you have to stretch and test your limits. Nothing worth having ever comes easy. Nature is the greatest example of this fact as it is survival of the fittest and only the strong survive. Elephants are among the strongest and the smartest of the animal kingdom. This is why they’ve been around for over 55 million years. They do what’s necessary and there’s nothing more inspiring than to capture an elephant doing just that!
Dayflash is pleased to introduce a valued member of our community…David Whelan.

Please share a little bit about your background in photography
“I’m from Melbourne, Australia and I’d say I’m an animal photographer as I take photos both in the wild and in zoos. I’ve always been interested in photography since receiving my first camera when I was 18 years old (I’m 55 now) and was always interested in photographing animals/nature.”
