Blue Haze

Difficult to reach.

Seen but not remembered
Deep in tunnels underneath
The blue haze in the depths
So difficult to reach.

Sometimes in the nighttime
When all is quiet and meek
Into my mind, the blue ghost slips
In haze obscure and sleek.

Are these the memories of the past
Or some omen yet to occur
A shining vision or visitation
Or blue haze in a blur.

Was it your name was uttered?
Or an angel standing by
Is this the prophecy of truth
Or blue rain from a stuttering sky.

One day when we meet again
Will we remember where we’ve been
Or will blue haze hide the memories
And blot out the things we’ve seen.

Is twice aligned duplicitous
Can the blue haze be washed away?
Are we meant for a fresh tomorrow?
Or delayed for another day.

The moods and misty nuances
The fogs crawl o’er the waters
Up to the beach and dripping leaves
By soft winds the same that brought us.

To the brink of harmony
Remembered now and not forgotten
Left in the blue haze unidentified
Renewed and now begotten.
