Dawn

Of anticipation.

All the seeds we’ve sown
Watered and watched grow
Emerging in our garden
Pop up and say hello.

Welcoming a new day
A dawn of anticipation
We stand together hand in hand
About to depart the station.

Destination’s beckon
New horizons on the way
Now is the time to move along
And turn work into play.

We move with no regrets
And get what we asked for
Each step is a discovery
And opens another door.

Our barometer is kinship
The weather our umbrella
Some sun showers and rainbows
At night the mood is stellar.

Each new day opens another
The flower we’ve not seen before
Green meadows in a rain shower
We couldn’t ask for more.

Four eyes see double vision
Four legs go twice the distance
Four arms are for embracing
It’s all called coexistence.

We move into a new day
The flowers open to the sky
Bow their heads and look us in the eye
And wave as we fly by.
