Liquid gold

A poem of a necessity

Photo by Andy HYD on Unsplash

I’m liquid gold and from times of old
and before the beginning of time
I lay on the ground until I was found
to be more than a beautiful sign.

From a little drop often, I will not stop
till the clouds disappear from the sky
some call me manna from heaven
the tears that fall when I cry.
