Hope and healing

In this world, our heads are whirled
By news, blues, and disasters
There’s war, and more than covid
There is the ever afters

Whilst we run to find some fun
There’s oppression and depression
And the things we hate to hear
Suicides in succession

We turn our heads the fear and dread
The stigma these words bring
And saddle our ride of fear and pride
And holler, yell, and sing

We must learn that those that yearn
For hope and healing
That only love and acceptance
Is a tsunami with which we’re dealing

We care for those who are dying.
And accept cancer and disease.
But when it comes to mental health
It brings us to our knees

Like a thief, the stealth of wealth
And happiness at all costs
Nullifies the love and acceptance
Of our mental health imposts.

Many, of the famous
The most creative too
Suffer from depression
It could be me or you

So, let’s accept and not forget.
Mental health is an illness and tell
And support the ones we love
We hope that you are well.
