Senses and Sentimentos

Filter through my mind.

Memories good or bad
Can leave me sentimental
Some are happy others sad
Harsh sublime or gentle.

They filter through my mind
And whet my appetite
Complete with recompenses
The darkness and the light.

It may be on the silver screen
Or a video we made
A picture that I’ve seen
In a sequestered forest glade.

Or the lapping on the sand
Of waves on the seashore
The trill of a one-man band
That drifts into my core.

Its sentimental travels
Whim and fancy on a trip
As each moment unravels
Thoughts I can’t give the slip.

When we watch where we have been
We fancy we’re in flight
And take in each memory and scene
And dream of them at night.

Take my hand and fly away
To places in our dreams
Where the night turns into day
Delivered in sentimentos streams.
