Treading Lightly
Avoiding disharmony.
Avoiding nasty obstacles
And stepping carefully
No unexpected debacles
We evade disharmony.
Easier said than done
Waters run so deep
Keeps one on the run
Emotions tend to creep
Thinking of the hurt
The problems and the pain
An indiscriminate blurt
Feelings we can’t contain.
Cathartic explanations
Stemming from the heart
Unwanted allegations
We are wounded from the start.
A new way of relating
Forgiveness is the key|
Debating not berating
Release and setting free.
The use of moderation
Listening and not reacting
Intelligent narration
Positivity we’re attracting.
Deftly treading lightly
Dancing past the puddles
All so elegant and sprightly
Followed by the cuddles.
Whatever are our differences
I’ll love you all time
Joined without the references
The peaks we’ve yet to climb.
