Two Ways
Of talking
There are two ways of talking.
One way holds the sway.
Manufactured in the mind
the second throw away
Fanned by worlds of fiction
Something that I read
Replaced by the words
I heard when they were said
Myths like riffs are rapid.
And fill the room with sound.
A way to play with fiction
facts we wrapped around
An answer to a question
Ways to cooperate
Massaging the answer
Ways to reciprocate
Belief is brief when the thief.
Sings sonnets like a psalm
A clause and pause of history
To farm some sharp alarm
A dance into diversion
Some music does the trick
The flute of Jethro Tull
We’re all thick as a brick.
Or stroll and roll in tempo.
Horizontally all night
Moan and groan without a phone
In pain and pure delight
There are two ways of talking.
Be it fact or fiction.
Pieces of the parlance
In total contradiction
