Waters Deep

Photograph by Author. Calbuco Ferry to Chiloe Island, Chile.

Out on the coast where riptides spill
Between the landfalls nothing still
The Ferry wends to the other shore
Onto Chiloe Island, she leaves the quay once more.

Underneath the pulling currents
Seals leap and carve the sea
The dolphins swim against the tide
Pelicans swarm airborne and free.
