Skimming is the process of reading to get an overall view pf the content.

There are three types of skimming:

° Preview

° Overview

° Review

whereas, Scanning is the process of reading a content to find specific information and it requires you to look for a particular word and phrase.

How does the author of the text about rhinos feel about them?

The title tells us about the likeness of Author for Rhinos. It seems like the Authors felt sad about the estimated value of Rhinos left and people kill them just because of their Horns.

Do you think the author of the text about rhinos takes time to enjoy the beauty found in nature? Why or why not?

I think that author takes time to enjoy the beauty of Nature. The way he said that Rhinos Ear looks like a curled leaf, Flower petals seems like he takes to enjoy the beauty of nature and so he knows how curled leaf and flower petals look like.

Do you think the author of the text about rhinos would support hunting animals for sport? Why or why not?

The text about Rhinos wouldn’t support hunting animals for sport because the author mentions that people kill Rhinos for their horns and they don’t care about the decreasing number of Rhinos.

The purpose of writing the text about Rhinos is that Author wants to show that he like Rhinos and to show that he feels bad for Rhinos that people kill them for their horns. Author writes this text to bring to the notice of people about the decreasing number of Rhinos.

Patch more likely as Trash Soup consists of Plastic, tiny trash and different types of waste that floats on the surface is called as Pacific Garbage Patch. This Pacific Garbage Patch used to call as the Pacific Ocean.

Readers should be concerned about the pacific garbage patch because garbage patch will continue to cause damage and it is the great risk to our marine life and fishing industry. Readers should manage to prevent more plastic from entering the oceans.

Why is a warmer climate a threat to polar bears?

Polar bears rest and hunt for food and raise their cubs on the sea ice Warmer climate cause sea ice to melt and it affects the ability of Polar bears to find food.

How would you summarize the problem facing polar bears in the Arctic?

Loss of sea ice habitat Climate change is the threat for the polar bears in the arctic. If sea ice keep melting because of warmer climate it becomes difficult for Polar bears to rest and hunt for food. It is a possibility that it might cause polar bears to extinct.
