We are very happy to write here our very first post about DBConvert products!

Posting takes time. A lot of time. So inevitably, it can raise the surprise of people around.

Why a company with more than 15 years of experience in database migration software development starts to do this? What’s the point?

The main goals are:

-to share quality information and make it accessible to all, simply because no one can claim to be able to keep their knowledge without sharing it

- to be in touch with our old users and potentially new ones

- to accept criticism, often constructive and informative

- to provide users with a simple and easy idea on how to convert or synchronize databases

So how it all began … It was 2001, we at DBConvert provided development services to third parties. And one of our clients inquired to create a product for database transferring between MS Access and MySQL. The free converters, in his opinion, did not suit him for several reasons. Here are some of them:

- they were not secure enough

- they were pretty good only for simple structure

- GUI was not user-friendly

Motivated by these requirements, we created a really effective product that satisfied all customer needs! Our CEO, Dmitry Narizhnykh, reviewed the market at that time and he had an idea, why not start to develop our own database migration tool?

No sooner said than done. The first was created DBConvert for Access & MySQL and now it is the flagship of our product line — it has been bought over 1,500 times. Rapturous feedback from our customers inspired us to expand our software.

Today, we have a wide range product line with 50 tools that support data migration between multiple database both on-premises and cloud ones. More than 50,000 customers are satisfied with them.

What makes us different? DBConvert software focus on:

- Speed database migration without losing any data

- Simple and intuitive interface

- Automatic views/ queries conversion

- Near real-time synchronization based on pre-created triggers

- Bi-directional synchronization

- Integrated data filtering

- Automatic and customize datatype mapping
