A Buzz is not only for bees!

This week has had me out and about attending and facilitating discussions and networks… the bit I love!

Starting the week with some informal discussions and idea sharing around community growing and food organisations, community buildings and getting the UKSPF money out the door, to the right places and in the right way ignited thoughts and ideas…

Representing DCA at a focus group discussion around foodbanks and food insecurity further fuelled my tank of inspiration, it was led by service users who were very clearly nervous and in an unfamiliar territory directing questions and holding conversations with professionals from a range of organisations…. I didn't know these people but I felt proud of them for being in that room and having the impetus to open up communication about a lived experience subject that they wanted to help change for future generations and others experiencing similar.

As always I had a lot to say but only because we do so much at DCA and the room felt accepting and interested….

Its only mid week and two more networks to go… supporting Charlotte at the first ESV network was a pleasure, a small intimate group with some really positive ideas about what opportunities and development could happen from partnership and collaborative working! Even the venue felt buzzing as it was sports day at Durham University and it seemed the whole university had descended to compete in an activity…walking past the hockey pitches brought back memories from playing for the school team.. times of no worries or responsibilities!

The final network of the week, my favourite….Community Growing and Food which takes some planning and arranging from content, finding inspirational speakers to the promotion and organisation but when it all comes together and you receive great feedback ….

…it is all worth it! :)

Being amongst people with a can do, positive and inspirating attitude is so refreshing and now…..I am full of buzz! 🐝
