A plan is a plan until it doesn't go to plan!

The week’s outlook was busy and diverse, the work from the previous few weeks culminating in project visits, end point meetings and enthusiasm for new connections via enquiries coming through and getting the ball rolling…..

Life had other ideas when Tuesday night/ Wednesday morning my daughter and I saw every hour of the night as she battled with a developing stomach bug. A feeling of helplessness to be able to alleviate the pain my first born was experiencing and knowing exactly how it felt for her.

Prior to this I was all planned and packed up, ready for a trip in the morning to meet Debbie at Little Sprouts a community food charity based in Middlesbrough & Stockton. I was excited to see what they had created and how it benefited the community it served with an added internal proudness with it happening in my original home town. Debbie is also coming along to the next Community Growing and Food Network as a speaker to share their work and hopefully inspire and enthuse those in attendance. This in person connection would also strengthen the network session and gain insight further into the community food arena.

Wednesday… time to replan the plan! after a few early morning messages, emails and phone calls the day was rearranged, feeling very grateful for the full understanding and messages of concern and support for my daughter from all.

Never to be defeated, onwards to make the week count non the less!
