Countdown to Chocolate!!

At last, Easter is in sight and after forty days and nights I will once again be able to have chocolate…yippee! My Easter Sunday breakfast of a Crème Egg with chocolate finger soldiers has become famous in the office and I can’t disappoint this year! 😊

This week has been many admin tasks and planning for an incredibly busy April — a very full diary to return to.

Mailings are prepped for the week I return; the next tranche of training is set up and ready to promote and I will start work on my end-of-year comms report which is always interesting to compile and compare to previous years.

The funding information sessions continue to run until June, proving popular once again with some interesting and different approaches being shared by funders. Where grants are less readily available, there tends to be more focus on support for groups through training, advice, guidance and networking.

There have been a few new projects starting up recently within DCA and it is always interesting to look at what methods of marketing fit best. For rural housing there has been a request for banners and printed leaflets; for the Poverty Truth Commission work a new logo is needed. It is good to constantly review the methods that work best for the various streams of work we do.

Looking forward to an extended Easter break in Scotland…ready for some bracing walks on the beach, catching up on reading, hunting for beach treasure and of course maybe a chocolate treat or two!!
