Forming new relationships

I thought this week was going to be quiet, but i should be careful what i wish for as it’s been far from that! It’s been a mixed bag of enquiries but with some new people for me to get to know.

It’s always good to chat to new people and find out about their work and projects and to understand what help DCA can offer.

This weeks enquiries have ranged from do charities have to pay VAT on the construction of a new building through to two organisations needing to develop a more formal working agreement.

There have been some great moments of people feeling reassured that becoming a charity isn’t as daunting as they may have thought, to others where they are clearly frustrated and working through a process of learning how to work in partnership with others. Sometimes we feel the brunt of these frustrations, but if a call or a meeting ends well and some progress is made, then it’s all worth it in end.
