Celebrating Fintech Week with Ideanomics

The DCC team went downtown to close out Empire Startups’ Fintech Week with some conversation, music and refreshments with Ideanomics (NASDAQ: IDEX), a Fintech Advisory and Platform as a Service Company. They aim to combine deal origination and enablement with the application of blockchain and AI technologies as part of the next-generation of financial services.

We spoke with the Ideanomics team, as well as a number of entrepreneurs and financial services executives in innovative fields, looking to expand their businesses in new technologies. We look forward to forging ongoing relationships with some of the inspirational attendees we’ve met!

DCC Joins Fintech Connector’s Spring Soiree in NYC

On March 27, we attended Fintech Connector’s Spring Soiree in NYC. As a community for professionals in finance and tech, Fintech Connector aims to help professionals in the financial technology space expand their networks and inspire each other.

DCC at Vietnam Blockchain Day 2019

On April 7, our team attended The 4th Global Chain — Vietnam Blockchain Day 2019 in Hanoi.

Focused on “Industry 4.0 and the Blockchain Technology,” this event featured 15 speakers who shared their understanding of blockchain’s role in today’s enterprises, trends in tech development, and new opportunities to arise in the global market. In total, it attracted over 1,500 blockchain experts around the world. We were thrilled to participate and learn from so many innovators, leaders and pioneers!

We’re improving the encryption module of the IPFS-based framework for personal data management.

BitExpress Updates

In the new version of BitExpress, a payment network will help merchants set up their own identity verification system, which will facilitate the process of credit history evaluation.
The upcoming version will also include Telegram-based luck draws — the development team wants to show appreciation for the BitExpress community!

World’s Second-Largest Grocer Joins IBM Food Trust Blockchain

Albertsons Companies, the world’s second-largest supermarket company by sales, has joined IBM’s Food Trust blockchain, a digital system for tracking and tracing food between retailers and suppliers.

As an important part of the IBM Blockchain Platform, Food Trust went into live production in October of last year. It tackles a critical problem in the commercial food chain: the ability to rapidly pinpoint a dodgy batch of produce and surgically remove those tainted goods from circulation, so that retailers don’t have to empty their shelves of every item in the affected category, be that lettuce, spinach, beef, etc.
