How to setup D’CENT wallet for Flare Finance Beta Test

[D’CENT] How to setup Flare Coston2 testnet

Here is the step by step guidance on how to setup D’CENT wallet in order to join Flare Finance Beta Test.

Basic setup (Download D’CENT mobile app and enable testnet)

If you don’t have D’CENT mobile app yet, please follow the guidance.

How to use DApps on Flare Network testnet with D’CENT wallet

When you finish the basic setup,

• You have D’CENT mobile app
• Testnet option on D’CENT mobile app is enabled
• You might have “FLR-COSTON” account.

Create testnet FLR account

You can skip this step if you already have “FLR-COSTON” account.

1. Click “+” button to add account
2. Search “Flare Network Coston”
3. You can see the account named “FLR-COSTON”

Create Ropsten ETH account

Delete old Ropsten ETH account

If you already have the Ropsten account which has the same address with Ethereum, you have to delete the account first. (If you don’t have the Ropsten account yet, you can skip this.)

To delete the account on App wallet mode (without hardware wallet),

• Just click “Hide account”

For D’CENT biometric users, you can see the below.

Create Ropsten ETH account which has the same address with “FLR-COSTON” account

1. Click “+” button
2. Search “Ethereum Ropsten”
3. Select “ETH-ROPSTEN - FF Beta”
4. You can see the account named “ETH-ROPSTEN”

Check the addresses of “FLR-COSTON” and “ETH-ROPSTEN”

Should make sure that the address of ETH-ROPSTEN is same as FLR-COSTON. It is required to join Flare Finance open beta.

Create accounts for testnet tokens

All tokens for Flare Finance Beta Test are already listed on D’CENT wallet.

1. Click “+” button
2. Search token by contract address or name
   You can find Flare Finance’s contract address and name here.

3. There are 7 tokens on the list.
4. Create accounts for each tokens

USDT ($bUSDT) is a token on Ropsten, and other 6 tokens are on Flare Network Testnet.

Get the test FLR (gas for Flare Network testnet)

If you already have FLR, you can skip this.

1. Click “FLR-COSTON” account
2. Click “Receive”
3. Click “Faucet:Reqeust FLRt”
4. You can get a 5 test FLR

In order to refresh the balance, just pull down in the “Account” tab.

Get the test ETH (gas for Ropsten testnet)

Copy Ropsten ETH address

1. Click “ETH-ROPSTEN” account
2. Click “Receive”
3. Click “Copy”

Get Ropsten ETH from faucet

Go to faucet (by using Chrome browser). Here are the known faucet list for Ropsten network.

• Ropsten Faucet 1: https://faucet.ropsten.be/
• Ropsten Faucet 2: https://faucet.dimensions.network/

Paste your address on the faucet site.

Get test tokens for Flare Finance beta test

Switch Network to “Flare-Coston”

1. Move tab to “Discovery”
2. Click “Network” icon on the top right corner.
3. Select “Flare-Coston”

Go to Flare Finance faucet

Type the URL of Flare Finance faucet into “discovery” tab. If you don’t know the URL of Flare Finance faucet, you can get the URL at Discord channel of Flare Finance (https://discord.gg/flarefinance)

Claim Flare Network based tokens

1. Click “Connect Wallet”
2. Make sure the current network is “Flare-Coston” and click “OK”
3. Click “Claim on Coston”

Switch Network to “Ethereum-Ropsten”

1. Click “Network” icon on the top right corner
2. Select “Ethereum-Ropsten”

Claim Ropsten Network based tokens

1. Click “Connect Wallet”
2. Make sure the current network is “Ethereum-Ropsten” and click “OK”
3. Click “Claim on Ropsten”

Enjoy Flare Finance beta test

You can use Flare Finance’s dapps (like FlareX, FlareWrap, FlareFarm) in the “discovery” tab. You can the the URLs for the dapps on FF’s discord channel (https://discord.gg/flarefinance).

Network selection for dapps

Make sure that you need to select an appropriate network before accessing the dapp.

• For FlareX, FlareFarm you need to select network as “Flare-Coston”
• For “Wrap” feature on FlareWrap, you need to select network as “Ethereum-Ropsten”
  For “Unwrap” feature on FlareWrap, you need to select network as “Flare-Coston”
