How to use DApps on Flare Network testnet with D’CENT wallet

This is the simple guidance on how to use DApps running on Flare Network coston testnet with D’CENT wallet.
With this guidance, you can enjoy Flare Finance’s DApps like FlareX, FlareWrap, FlareFarm etc. through D’CENT wallet mobile app.
Let’s start.
Mobile App Download
1. Download D’CENT mobile app.

2. Choose the wallet mode
DApp browser is available for “Biometric Wallet” and “App Wallet”. If you don’t have a hardware wallet, choose the App Wallet. You can use D’CENT wallet even though you don’t have a hardware wallet.
Firmware Update (only for hardware wallet)
If you have a D’CENT Biometric wallet, the first thing you need to do is to update firmware. (If you don’t have hardware wallet device, skip this and go to section “Enable Testnet”)
The firmware version which supports Flare Network testnet is v2.5.2

Switch Wallet mode
To use Biometric wallet on the mobile app, switch wallet mode.
- “Manager” tab > “Switch D’CENT Wallet mode”
Enable Testnet
In order to use the testnet feature, you can enable testnet on the “Setting” tab.
- “Setting” tab > “Enable testnet”
The testnet feature is targeted for developers or advanced users. Please use this feature only if you are very familiar with testnet.
Create Flare testnet account
Before exploring the Flare Network based dapps, you have to create Flare Network testnet account. The name of testnet $FLR token is “Flare Network Coston”.
If you want to get a small amount of testnet $FLR token, you can get it at the “Receive” menu of the FLR-COSTON account. D’CENT wallet has a built-in faucet for Flare Network testnet. Don’t forget the testnet token doesn’t have any value, it’s only for your test purpose.
You can also create FRC20 account as well. D’CENT wallet added the Flare Finance’s testnet FRC20 tokens of Flare Finance into the list.
Setup DApp Browser Network
The DApp browser is in the “Discovery” tab. Before you explore Flare based dapp, switch the network to “Flare Coston”.
It’s done. Just type the URL of the dapp and enjoy!
