dcSpark is growing the technical team. We are proud to welcome Nicolas Di Prima as Lead Engineer and Specialized Cryptographic Engineering in the team!

Cardano folks know him for his work on Yoroi’s ancestor: the Icarus Wallet. For the successful work in delivering the first ever implementation of Ouroboros Praos: Jörmungandr, the node that powered the ITN. And more recently for leading the whole development of Cardano’s Catalyst voting platform.

We think having Nicolas in the team is a great opportunity for us. He has proven it is possible to deliver Software Development Kit (SDK) compatible for many platforms (you can see the code that powers all the wallet management behind catalyst mobile app here). Now we hope to reproduce this for Cardano. IOG’s Haskell node and wallets are coming in handy when it comes to writing verifiable and sound software. However this comes at a cost: performance and portability. Nicolas will start working on designing and delivering a fully compatible SDK library for Cardano with performance and portability as a priority which will be key to have Cardano running in all environments and all devices.

However we already know this is not challenging enough for Nicolas. He has already done this kind of work multiple times in the past (for Icarus, Jörmungandr and for Catalyst). In addition to this he will also work with us on designing future products to enhance the Cardano ecosystem. We can’t wait to talk about these to you.
