Welcome and happy February to our wonderful DDEX and Hydro communities! Our team has been extremely busy over the past few months — with the release of our open beta version of DDEX, the Hydro Protocol Token listing, hiring, partnerships, and more. We are very thankful for your support along the way. It is our pleasure to share what we have been working on in this article, which highlights some general updates and news from the DDEX team.
GoBlockChain Conference
A couple of our team members traveled to San Francisco last weekend to participate in the GoBlockChain conference as well as several other blockchain events. It was great to interact and meet the team members, advisors, and investors of other promising crypto and blockchain related projects. Spreading ideas, sharing thoughts and information about what and how blockchain could change society in various ways.
Bay Area Crypto Gathering
The Bay Area Crypto Gathering was hosted by ZhenFund on January 25 in San Francisco. Our co-founder Bowen Wang presented Hydro Protocol and DDEX, the demonstrative DEX building on top of the Hydro Protocol at the event. It was a wonderful reunion with lots of old friends, and a warm meet-up with many new faces.
The open beta version of DDEX (https://ddex.io/) went live on January 9th, initially just offering 5 trading pairs. As UI and UX improvements were incorporated into the exchange, so were more trading pairs: we currently list 16 different trading pairs on the site, and will have many more in the upcoming months. In addition, we launched the first version of Chinese trade interface. Users can choose the language they prefer (English & Chinese) to trade on DDEX now. More languages will be available in the near future.
The Hydro Protocol
As many of you may know, the network layer behind DDEX is called The Hydro Protocol. The Hydro Protocol has it’s own token associated with it (symbol HOT) which is now live for trading on both DDEX, OKEx, BigONE (more exchanges coming soon). Last month, we ran a very successful airdrop referral event to introduce Hydro to the community, and our Hydro telegram community now has over 20,000 members!
Partnership
Furthermore, DDEX announced strategic partnerships with Bounty0x and Decentraland, which are now available for trading on DDEX!
New members Joined DDEX family
Lastly and very importantly, the DDEX team has been recruiting more members both in Seattle and Beijing. We’re pleased to announce that we have two amazing fellows who joined DDEX family in Beijing in January. Bukang joined Department of Operations and Jiaojiao will be our first office manager. Both of them have had a lot of professional experiences in their fields. We are extremely glad to have them on board!
