#DoItForMyanmar is a ground-up initiative by DDIY and Christian Broadcasting Network Myanmar (CBN Myanmar) to donate family care packages to vulnerable communities in Myanmar.

During this crisis, many needy families are unable to have access to essential items as they become unaffordable or out of stock due to its high demand. As COVID-19 renders at least 60,000 Myanmar workers jobless, increasing number of families are also unable to have the means to procure these basic necessities.

The initiative focuses on providing food and sanitisation to help beneficiaries protect themselves against the spread of COVID-19 and survive through this pandemic. Each care pack donated contains 40,000MMK (USD28) worth of essential items such as an 18kg bag of rice, packets of beans, cooking oil, shampoo, anti-bacterial body wash and vitamin C tablets.

This joint initiative procures the items from retailers and suppliers at cost price so that recipients can get more items in one pack, providing them with enough to stay safe and healthy for weeks.
