DDIY is thrilled to launch a fundraising campaign with Doh Eain to contribute to the Alley Garden Project — an initiative to transform alleyways in Yangon into clean and sustainable recreational areas. It aims to preserve heritage spaces, regenerate urban living and build socially cohesive communities in Yangon.

As the trusted home concierge that combines technology and dedicated Home Managers to build a suite of services into homes, DDIY provides a singular amenity to residents in apartment buildings. Services include grocery shopping, housekeeping, pantry-restocking, laundry pick-up and delivery to resident’s closets; other special ad-hoc requests can also be made. Our mission is to enhance residential living experience and revolutionise urban lifestyle in Southeast Asia.

Sharing the same vision, Doh Eain and DDIY hope to build empowering communities through this campaign. We are asking you to help support our cause and you can help by:

· Donating directly to Doh Eain’s Alley Garden Project here;

· Spreading the word about the Alley Garden Project to your friends and colleagues; or

· Signing up for any DDIY membership with code DOHEAINXDDIY2019 here (https://mailchi.mp/c4837b526e9b/doheainxddiy) so that we will donate 10% of your membership fee to Doh Eain’s Alley Garden Project every month.

As a multi-discipline urban design social enterprise, Doh Eain has been spearheading this initiative to create vibrant spaces for members of the communities in Yangon. With what would begin as a place filled with garbage and festering mosquitoes and rats, Doh Eain would clear the waste, paint the walls and install benches and playgrounds, transforming it into a safe and clean space where children can play and adults can find solace. Starting from the alleyway between Seikantha Street and 39th Street in 2017, Doh Eain has gone on to complete five more renovation projects.

Beyond Downtown Yangon, Doh Eain is also planning for development projects on the outskirts of the city, such as Hlaing Tharyar, North Dagon and Dagon Seikkan townships.

We need your support as members of Yangon communities to help improve the city and the lives of its residents. Contributions of any size will go a long way toward achieving the goals of enhancing liveability and creating a safe and empowering society.
