Today, let’s take a look at the symbol of Dongdaemun, DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza).
DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza)
Located at Dongdaemun Gate in Seoul, Dongdaemun Digital Plaza (DDP) is one of the centers of Korean culture, design, and fashion. Known for its beautiful, majestic, and futuristic design, DDP was designed by Zaha Hadid, one of the world’s most recognized architects, and is considered a work of art in its own right.
DDP’s spaces are flexibly configured to host a wide range of events and exhibitions and are used for a variety of purposes, including design/fashion/art/performance/corporate events. This versatility and flexibility makes the DDP more than just a space, and the cultural richness of the city is further maximized by the many activities that take place within the DDP.
The DDP is divided into four main parts.
Art Hall / Museum / Design Lab / Dongdaemun History Museum
Art Hall

You can mainly see contemporary art, design exhibitions, and performances here. Design lab

Dongdaemun History Museum
The Dongdaemun History Museum exhibits the history and culture of the Dongdaemun area. In this space, visitors can learn about various historical events in the area and explore its changes and growth.
