Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers addressed recent Internet reports about his sexuality and refuted rumors that he is gay during his weekly radio show on Tuesday.

“I’m just going to say I’m not gay,” Rodgers said during weekly appearance on 540 AM ESPN Radio in Wisconsin. “I really, really like women. That’s all I can really say about that.”

Rodgers’ conversation with ESPNWisconsin senior NFL writer Jason Wilde was largely focused on the Packers’ thrilling victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 17 and upcoming playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers but they took a brief detour into the downsides of NFL stardom. The 2011 NFL MVP conceded that dealing with fan expectations away from the field and “crazy rumors” about his personal life were simply things he had grown accustomed to.

“There isn’t a whole lot of separation from your public and private life,” Rodgers said on Tuesday. “You always have to be on at times. Occasionally people will get upset if you say ‘no’ to a picture when you’re eating dinner or something. That’s kind of the hard part. Or if you get crazy rumors that swirl around you from time to time that are just silly.”

These comments come in response to reports at gossip websites TheFameDriven.comand PerezHilton.com that quoted an anonymous source alleging that Rodgers had been in a relationship with his longtime personal assistant, Kevin Lanflisi.
