My window is a porch screen,
long and tall and mostly clear,
with handy cat-perching places,
including a ladder commandeered
by the cross-eyed feline to be his throne
while squirrels scamper beyond his reach
and birds nibble on avian kibble
scattered on patio concrete,
bordered by flowers I try to grow,
sometimes finding
