Dead Knight Metaverse — The first look

A brief introduction of the Dead Knight Metaverse and some of its features.

A week has passed since the announcement of Dead Knight project and I am glad to see it becoming a phenomenon of the NFT community. Recently, several questions related to the project has been sent to me, so it’s time I revealed more about the game and introduced you some of its amazing features. One thing to remember! Since we are ambitious in creating an enormous metaverse world, the player’s experience and the connection between them are vital and those will be what we focus on.

So far, you might have seen the introduction video of our Dead Knights — the NFTs we are selling. These NFTs play an important role in this project because they are the key for you to enter the Dead Knight Metaverse. Yes! In any role-playing game, you will need a character to explore the world and it is the same for Dead Knight. So, the NFTs you have purchased on Solana Blockchain are not just mere pictures. When the game is released, they will be your characters, with uniquely and randomly generated attributes based on blockchain technology. Owning a DK NFT will bring you the following benefits:

• Use DK NFTs as game characters to explore the exciting Play-To-Earn features.
• Participating in the DK Championship that is organized frequently and win prizes from the tournaments.
• Be a part of the DK metaverse. What I focus more in today’s article is the third idea of the benefit. The stronghold, artificial intelligence and VR mode are some of the features creating the Dead Knight metaverse. These will directly influence your experience and we believe that the positivity from them, as well as the interest from the economy system of the game will keep you in the game for a very, very long time.

Stronghold

In every RPG, your characters will need a shelter that acts as a safehouse. This is where they return after each mission, recover from their wounds and perform other activities like getting the summary report, upgrading weapons/characters or interacting with other players. Such safehouse, will surely be in Dead Knight and called “Stronghold” and it is a core feature of the game. However, you should remember that Stronghold is not available at the beginning but after a progress of minting. Yes! It means you have to fight and farm for your house.

An interesting feature of Stronghold is that they are unique. You cannot find two strongholds that are the same because they will have random rarities and traits depending on their locations on Dead Knight world. Each will be featured by unique characteristics like bonuses on material production, resources, special dark pet breeding or special dungeons. And do not forget that such features will be affected heavily by the rarity of stronghold, which is divided into 5 levels:

- Common

- Uncommon

- Rare

- Mythical

- Legendary

Artificial intelligence

A large world is an empty world if it has nothing to explore or to interact with, then that world is meaningless since it provides the players with no value. In the Dead Knight metaverse, beside familiar elements of a video game like questlines, maps and various locations to discover, one important thing that you may find roaming around the world is the Dark Ones.

To make it simple, you can understand that Dark Ones are somewhat similar to NPCs in the game. However, the difference between Dark Ones and typical NPCs is that the NPCs must follow a strict script while the Dark Ones are not. NPCs are only allowed to appear in certain places, have certain dialogues and perform certain acts no matter what the player do to them. On a contrary, the mysterious Dark Ones will be created with AI elements to bring more features to the game, and this will make the player’s experience more unique.

Each Dark Ones will have their own path finding system. They can travel randomly around the DK metaverse and pursue their own quests. After each successful quest, Dark Ones will improve themselves and have their own random benefits when interacting with players. Besides, they also have data-mining on player’s behaviors & various approaches to decide whenever they should be friends or enemies to a certain player. So, depending on your action towards them, the Dark Ones will perform various reaction. You can help them finish their quest, completely ignore them or even be a maniac and slaughter them to satisfy your desire for bloodshed. Keep in mind that the karma does not ignore you and each of your action will lead to a difference consequence.

VR mode

Remember our commitment about bringing the best game quality to you? Metaverse is defined as a place where physical world and virtual world merge with each other. And to make it come true, the most advanced technologies must be employed. Virtual Reality (and augmented reality in the future, if possible) is applied so that it is not only to enhance your experience but also to make every moment of yours in the Dead Knight world become the truest.

The VR mode will be unlocked after the achievement of Stronghold. So, even if Dead Knight is not a first-person game with ultra-realistic graphic, VR may bring a different taste to your experience, both in PvP and PvE. It will be an exciting feature that you might see in upcoming project of us, starting with Dead Knight.

These are just some of the characteristics of the Dead Knight metaverse. In the future, I will share with you more about the game, especially its core features and how to play it in a proper way.
