I did not go to Portugal to talk about Donald Trump. I hoped for an opportunity to avoid politics for a week or so and was more than happy to miss the details of Trump’s “hush money trial.” For the most part, I did not hear much about Trump, but there was an exception.

That exception, an encounter with a friendly street vendor outside our hotel, prompted by column this week in the Spy Community Media’s Eastern Shore newspapers.
