Are You Worried About Flooding? Donald Trump Doesn’t Have Your Back

After I read the comments of Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin announcing the rollback of dozens of EPA rules and regulations, I was disgusted. The Trump administration is following through on its threat to kill “The New Green Scam.” If they are successful, they will also destroy life as we know it in much of the country.
Donald Trump is a climate change denier. His scientific interest goes no further than an interest in how windmills kill birds. (The windmills in the visible range of his golf courses are of particular interest).
The President appears to believe that much of the response to climate change can be terminated without increasing the risks associated with extreme hurricanes, tornados, “atmospheric rivers,” flooding, and rising sea levels. That is tragic.
This week, my column for Spy Community Media’s newspapers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore focused on the EPA’s initiative to “drive a dagger through the heart of climate change religion.”
