President Trump’s second term is less than two months old but Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC), the right-winger that made history by heckling President Obama’s State of the Union Address in 2009 by shouting “You Lie!” wants to make history again. He proposes legislation to put Donald Trump's image on a new $250 bill this time.

Wilson commented:

Bidenflation has destroyed the economy forcing American families to carry more cash. President Trump is working tirelessly to fight inflation and help American families. This achievement is deserving of currency recognition, which is why I am grateful to introduce this legislation. The most valuable bill for the most valuable President!

Unaddressed in Wilson’s press release is the issue of whether the Federal government would have to pay a royalty to Trump for the use of his image. Adolf Hitler charged Germany royalties for using his portrait on postage stamps. (There is no evidence that Trump plans to charge the…
