Desert Roses
Exquisite, but often underappreciated flowers
Once a year, a special event happens on our patio. Our desert rose blooms. It is a cause for celebration, in part because ours periodically sheds its leaves and appears dead. When the first signs of life reappear, I am hopeful. Once the flowers appear, I am ecstatic.
