Goodbye, Madison Cawthorn

His defeat offers a ray of hope

The voters of the 11th District of North Carolina have spoken. By a narrow margin, they have rejected Madison Cawthorn’s bid for re-election. As of May 18, State Senator Chuck Edwards had 33 percent of the vote to Cawthorn’s 31 percent. The 26-year-old legislator called Edwards and formally conceded.
