Familiar policies, supported by well-worn Trump rhetoric.
I’ve been noticing that Donald Trump is getting more respect these days. You don’t hear or read the constant barrage of criticism and condemnation that you did before Election Day. That may be because Democrats and others who are not yet ready to accept that Trump or J.D. Vance will be president for the next four years have tuned out the news. However, it may also reflect that we have heard less from Donald Trump since the campaign ended with Trump’s victory.
Trump is feeling very presidential these days. He’s nominated over five dozen people for his Cabinet and other senior administration posts. Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau flew to Florida to meet with him after Trump announced 25 percent tariffs on Canadian goods. Trump also got to fly to Paris to reopen Notre Dame.
If you did not know better, you’d think that Trump was already president. Maybe that is why he agreed to an interview with Kristin Welker of Meet the Press on Sunday.
