Like many of us, I watched Pete Hegseth’s “gathering” of 800 Generals and Admirals on Monday with shock and fear. What prompted Hegseth to take the unprecedented action of ordering all of America’s military leadership to a Virginia military base to be lectured by a former Major in the U.S. Army Reserve and an apparent draft dodger (the President/bone spur)? More importantly, did anyone think about how the 800 authentic military leaders would receive the speeches?

Earlier in the week, I had read about Hegseth’s decision to finalize a decision not to rescind the Medals of Honor awarded in 1890 to soldiers who participated in the Massacre at Wounded Knee. That decision had my blood boiling. It only got worse as I watched Hegseth and Trump.
