Time to Say Thank You to Donald Trump

The defeated ex-president saved America from a red wave

The final results of the 2022 mid-term elections are not yet in, but we know enough to celebrate. The red wave some of us feared didn’t happen. Democrats won in places where history says they should have lost. A lot more people voted than pundits predicted. All that is good.

Despite not yet knowing whether the GOP or Democrats will control the Senate, I owe Donald Trump a thank you letter. I wrote it at 4:00 a.m. this morning, eastern time. I will mail it after a few more election returns are finalized. I really want to know whether Herschel Walker will be rambling through the halls of the Capitol, knocking people down as he rushes into committee hearings and onto the floor of the Senate to vote.
