The first three weeks of the second coming of Trump
We are in a Constitutional crisis. A little more than three weeks after taking office, dozens of laws have been broken or ignored, and common sense has left the room. Criminals have been pardoned, sentences commuted, prosecutors fired, and questions raised about whether the president can ignore statutes he doesn’t like. I’m worried, and you should be, too, regardless of your party affiliation.
My weekly column for the Spy Newspapers of Maryland’s Eastern Shore this week was focused on Trump 2.0. I revisited an oft-used practice of using the 1960s film The Good, the Bad and the Ugly title to comment on several of Trump’s most head-scratching actions.
