Trump is Making Us Question Again (Well, at Least Some of Us)

It may be wishful thinking, but President Trump may have gone too far. His policies have people—even some of his followers—scratching their heads. Economists tell us that tariffs are inflationary. An all-out trade war has been launched with China. Trump is defying court orders. And the list could go on.
This morning, while dropping my dog off at the veterinarian’s office, I saw a yard sign reading, “Trump is not my president.” It is the first one I’ve seen for a while, but it won’t be the last. Several of my neighbors are actively organizing protests against Trump and his policies.
My Spy editorial published on April 16 speculated that at least some of Trump’s supporters, and most of the rest of us who were never Trumpers, are getting tired of Trump’s chaos.
