Trump Will Regret Ordering an Investigation of Joe Biden
Presidents in glass houses should not throw stones
Curiously, Donald Trump has ordered an investigation of the fitness of a President to remain in office. The inquiry will also look into whether White House aides withheld information about the President’s fitness while exercising Presidential powers.
The President targeted by Trump, of course, is Joe Biden. Trump remains angry that Biden defeated him in the 2020 election and dropped out of the 2024 election after showing severe signs of decline in a Presidential debate.
Some pundits also allege that Trump wants to create an “Autopen” scandal to distract the public from his actions, such as controversial pardons or his family’s “engagement” in the cryptocurrency community. This enterprise has netted the Trump family well over a billion dollars.
Trump’s plan may be limited to smearing Biden, but could include attempts to prosecute Biden White House aides. Is Trump attempting to create leverage against Democrats who already believe he merits another impeachment for illegal Presidential actions?
