Weird Trump just got weirder by embracing RFK, Jr.

How much of Robert F. Kennedy’s brain did the worm eat? Does anyone care? The Kennedy story keeps getting weirder and sadder.

Before watching, or, should I say, starting to watch, RFK Jr.’s tedious, hour-long press conference announcing the suspension of his campaign and endorsement of Donald Trump, I read an article in The Atlantic titled, “RFK, Jr. Was My Drug Dealer.” Kurt Anderson, a fellow student at Harvard with Kennedy in the 1970s, reports that Kennedy sold him cocaine and was angry when Anderson accidentally took the cocaine straw with him. I wondered how strange this guy could get.

There may be dozens of Kennedy stories we haven’t heard yet. Unfortunately for Trump, he will now be associated with Kennedy’s dead bear cub, his second wife’s suicide, drug dealing, attacks on Dr. Fauci, and a lot more weirdness. Kamala Harris should send a thank you note.

I won’t repeat the RFK, Jr. story here. It receives more press than it deserves. However, one part of the Kennedy story has yet to be told: Did Trump promise him a job if he won in November?
