Who Says Donald Trump Doesn’t Have a Sense of Humor?

There is a line in Oliver Stone’s Vietnam War epic, Platoon, where Sgt. O’Neill tells Taylor, the character played by Charlie Sheen, “Excuses are like assholes, Taylor. Everybody’s got one!” That line came to mind when I found this post on President Trump’s social media site this morning:

Trump seems to be justifying “deals” that benefit himself and his family as “work” in support of the “American People.” Translation: Grift is okay if it can be argued that it helps Trump’s subjects, the “American People.” That sounds like an excuse to me.

I don’t know anyone who believes that Trump isn't taking advantage of his improbable return to the White House to enrich himself and his family further. Do you?

We are only two weeks into May, and President Trump has received a gift of a “flying palace” 747 from the Qatari royal family. Trump tells us the plane is a gift to the United States, but the gift has some unusual terms. The plane is only for use…
