Is Donald Trump self-destructing or isn’t he? Is his campaign in shambles? I’ve been wondering about Trump recently because, after Democrats rallied around Kamala Harris, I thought Trump was toast. He isn’t. He may not be doing as well as he was a month ago, but he still could be the next president of the United States.
The Trump phenomenon, the popular appeal of a convicted felon who is an old man subject to bizarre mental lapses, prompted me to focus on a perplexing question: Given who Trump is and what he has been saying and doing, shouldn’t Harris be doing better in the polls?
