Congressman Ogles wants to impeach a federal judge
American taxpayers pay Congressman Andy Ogles (R-TN) $174,000 annually to represent the good people of Tennessee’s Fifth Congressional District. You may not be familiar with the Congressman’s work in Washington. Without that information, how could you, or Elon Musk, determine whether taxpayers are getting their money’s worth?
A good way to judge the worth of a Member of Congress is to look at the legislation they sponsor. Does it represent good public policy? Does it attract bipartisan sponsorship? Does it make you proud to be an American?
I looked at Ogles's legislation for the current Congress, the 119th. One bill stood out. Ogles wants to impeach the Honorable John Deacon Bates, a federal judge, for “high crimes and misdemeanors.”
Here is Congressman Ogles's bill:
119th CONGRESS
1st SessionH. RES. 157
Impeaching John Deacon Bates, a judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, for high crimes and misdemeanors.
