How can I get my girlfriend to stop talking?

My girlfriend is always talking. How can I make her stop?

You can’t. Trying to stop a woman from talking is like trying to stop a river from flowing. Oh sure, you can get some temporary relief by pissing her off but the chatter will build up in her head like water on a dam and, sooner or later, break free in a flood of words.

It’s much better to manage it. Pretend to listen. Move your head up and down as though in agreement. Repeat what she says. Look thoughtful. If she asks for your opinion, say: “I’m not sure. What do you think?”

Eventually, having had her say, she’ll stop and you can go back to your game. Odds are, you’ll have missed something. Just remember to record everything so you can catch up later. You’ll be glad you did. Hope this helps.
