vivid red flags

dear future reader, when you look at the world through rose-colored glasses, the red flags tend to become just flags

in writing (or maybe in reading too or life in general), “show, don’t tell” is a rule that, like any other rule, we almost always try not to break but break anyway. a bright red flag. the problem, according to mr. dan roam the author of blah blah blah: what to do when words don’t work, is we talk so much that we don’t think very well. the solution: visual + verbal interdependent (vivid) thinking. a systematic approach to drawing your words and writing your pictures or something like that. as someone who appreciates illustrated stories, i couldn’t agree more to mr. roam.
