It’s been an interesting week in the blockchain and data privacy world. TikTok, one of the most popular downloaded apps during COVID-19, is the next major social network that is facing questions regarding it’s data privacy, mainly due to the large demographic of young users. TON, a crypto/blockchain project made headlines when the United States stopped its progression. In positive news, more and more women have been entering the blockchain and crypto industry.

Lastly, we’ll look at whether parental consent is required for TikTok to collect, store and use children’s personal data.”

For Durov, the struggle is real. He wished other true believers good luck in trying to create a decentralized money system.

“You are fighting the right battle,” he said. “This battle may well be the most important battle of our generation. We hope that you succeed where we have failed.
