With the emergence of apps such as Slack and Zoom, remote work has been on the rise for the better part of half a decade. The ability to travel the world, live and work from anywhere has quickly become the norm.

Moreover, companies face the rising costs of real estate in cities around the world. The ability to have a more distributed workforce limits the need for employees to come into the office every day, thus allowing companies to rent out much smaller work office and save tons on operating costs. In this article from Muse , 58% of millennials rank quality of work environment over financial benefits. There are plenty of incentives for employers to offer remote work to their employees and by 2028, 73% of all teams will have remote workers.

Meanwhile, with the ongoing precautionary measures being taken by companies and people around the globe in regard to the Corona Virus, the ability to work from home is no longer just a luxury but has been become mandatory for many.

However, privacy remains a top concern.

If employees are working from a remote location, and using platforms built upon a centralized network — how can sensitive data be protected? How can employees safely and securely communicate with one another?

Centralized data sharing platforms and online storage poses security threats to confidential information. With data leaks, big and small, happening every day, there’s a serious need for a solution that combines the comfort of working remotely, with the security of in person meetings.

The need for a network solution like Debrief has never been greater!

Debrief, Co-founded by VOIP pioneer Jeff Pulver, is unlike any other traditional data network or platform for communication. Debrief is a blockchain-enabled communication network that reduces the costs incurred for security and truly secures sensitive business and personal data on the blockchain.

Along with the first dApp built on the network showcasing the data privacy functional capabilities on the network, the need for Debrief is now.

The Debrief team is excited to announce a brand new content series called #workingfromhome where we’ll focus on the latest remote working trends, highlight different means of protecting your information and why data privacy for everyone is paramount.
