Subjects,

Your voices have been heard over the last few days, and we’ve swiftly implemented updates to fix some key issues. Our latest patch is now live, here’s what has changed:

Gameplay

  • [FIXED] Players are able to access unintended areas of the map whilst vaulting.
  • [FIXED] Players can get stuck after using the Suspicion Wheel. This fix was released earlier this week.
  • [FIXED] Players assigned the Seer role don’t earn XP for using their role, or progress the Seer’s Accolade. This fix was released earlier this week.

Input

  • Added a ‘Suspicion Wheel Behaviour’ setting for gamepad users to control how using the Suspicion Wheel works. By default this is now set to ‘Toggle’.
  • The ‘Hold Delay’ setting is now forced to be >= 50ms. This value is what controls when some gameplay actions switch from being considered a toggle to a hold (e.g. the Role Ability wheel), or when the ‘Ping’ input instead opens the Quick Chat wheel. Having a value near 0ms was the cause for some players being unable to report Blood Altars.

Tech

  • Players will now perform a connection test to the game server before beginning the ‘role reveal’ cinematic. If another player fails to connect you will seamlessly re-enter the queue, whilst they will be de-queued and informed that they failed to connect.
  • The anti-dodging system has been updated. Previously players would receive dodge timers, scaling based on number of dodges, but it was a hidden system and it behaved as if you were in queue for longer. With this update you will now be told when a penalty has been given to you for dodging. Alongside this, we’ve roughly doubled the timeouts granted for dodging and have increased the time before the scaling aspect resets.
  • The loading screen’s timeout has been increased by 15 seconds for players playing in custom lobbies. This should help ensure those playing with friends across the world, or with notably slower hardware, can get into games easier.
  • Several frequent crashes have been patched either earlier this week, or with this update. If you’re still frequently experiencing crashes, and are playing on a PC, we’d recommend updating your graphics drivers.
  • [FIXED] Xbox players can be left unable to interact with the menu after opening an Xbox interface, such as the one for inviting a friend.

Thank you for your continued feedback and support!

See you in the ritual!
