As with all software, updates are a crucial part of the growth process. Even blockchain requires updates to ensure smooth, safe and simple transactions between users. Today, we wanted to give a brief intro to DCore’s 1.3.3 update — which is not mandatory but highly encouraged. You can grab the update via this GitHub link.

This update enhances and simplifies the dApp building process on all supported platforms and includes fixes and improvements in the DCore Daemon and Wallet API. We added binary distribution files for Ubuntu, Debian and Fedora systems which also contain support for building DCore Docker images based on Linux. The Windows package was also simplified using the vcpkg package manager.

Our daemon now validates configuration settings on startup and stops if there are any problems, in addition to a new option to specify API set by name in the RPC request. The expired packages download during seeding has been fixed, in addition to the empty array message of get_message_objective for both the Daemon and Wallet API.

Last but not least, we’ve made a lot of bug fixes mainly with the GUI wallet, Daemon and APIs. These changes are very important, and even though the update isn’t mandatory, we hope that you will take the small amount of time required to complete this update for your optimal experience while using DCore.

For more details, you can see a full list of updates and additions in our previous DCore 1.3.2 release on GitHub here.
