With two amazing DECENT hackathons already behind us, one could say that cities like Berlin and Bratislava were basically born for blockchain. Bringing genuine blockchain ideas to life and discovering new talents all around the world is nothing short of mesmerizing, but this time, we’ve decided to spice things up a little bit.
Our Blockchain Pioneers Hackathon global series is getting an upgrade and will sponsor two hackathon events in the largest blockchain hubs in the world, China, and the USA. The events happen to be going on at the same time, and by becoming sponsors of each, we are able to bring the power of DCore to both of them, simultaneously.
HACKATHON IN SHANGHAI, CHINA 🇨🇳
The hackathon in China will be held in Shanghai, hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, a company providing support for the research, entrepreneurship, development, and application within the blockchain industry. Our sponsorship of WBL is part of a week-long conference, Shanghai International Blockchain Week (SIBW) which already has more than 2,000 registered attendees.
Once again, we are offering the DECENT Grand Prize of 20,000 DCT to the winning team that created their project on DCore. Additionally, they will compete against the other winners from attending blockchain challenges for a chance to win these amazing Wanxiang Prizes:
1st place: 50,000 RMB + 4 tickets to attend SIBW for the whole duration
2nd place: 30,000 RMB + 2 tickets to attend SIBW for the whole duration
3rd place: 10,000 RMB + 1 ticket to attend SIBW for the whole duration

HACKATHON AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WYOMING 🇺🇸
The State of Wyoming has put itself on the map as a blockchain leader, enacting five trail-blazing blockchain bills during its 2018 legislative session, garnering international attention. The University of Wyoming is at the center of all this action and has partnered up with DECENT and several other blockchain companies to host a 2-day hackathon event.
We are proud to be a sponsor of this hackathon, where we will participate in various workshops as well as a keynote speech from our Advisor, Daniel Riddell. More than 400 developers are set to attend the event and experience the thrill of this competitive endeavor.
