Each month, Decent Labs highlights one of our portfolio companies. The Decent Labs Portfolio series gives you an inside look at the struggles, triumphs, and insights of our startups.

This week, we will introduce you to the founding team of London-based Propfolio, a real estate startup that is changing the way the industry uses data. Propfolio’s mission is to bring transparency to real estate management & investment decisions through efficient use of data and they are well on their way to achieving that goal.

Propfolio received early recognition for what they were creating and the impact it would have on the real estate industry. They received their first investment from London PropTech VC fund Pi Labs in 2018. In 2019, PropFolio was 1 of 10 start-ups to be chosen to participate in the second year of The Arcadis City of 2030 Accelerator powered by Techstars. This program is aimed at identifying and developing innovative start-ups to transform both our natural and manmade environments.

It isn’t only Propfolio’s early success and product that makes them unique. As someone who has worked side by side with their team, I can confidently say that they have what it takes to achieve long term success. Peter Bird, Tom Cartlidge, and Angus Abbott are not only a great team with extensive experience in commercial real estate and venture capital, they also have the indescribable, synchronized dynamic that you only see in teams capable of successfully navigating from starting up to a global operation.

So, what exactly is it that Propfolio is building? It’s under wraps for now, but you can sign up to watch their Techstars Demo Day in a few short weeks. Let’s just say that you won’t want to miss it. For those of you who understand the value of data-driven business and want to experience the future of real estate — see you at Demo Day.
