Craig S. Wright Files Copyright Registration for Bitcoin Whitepaper and Code, Buy BSV?

According to COINGEEK, Craig Steve Wright has been granted US copyright registration for the famous Bitcoin Whitepaper and most of Bitcoin’s original code. US Copyright office recognizes Wright as the creator of Bitcoin under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. (note: COINGEEK is in favor of BSV.) On publishing the news, BSV price pumps suddenly, from $61.93 to $195, nearly 200% increase. It’s $117 now. It’s a scheduled pump, which did pumped so hard.

Why did so many people rush to buy BSV after the news come out? Does they believe CSW is Satoshi merely on the basis of the copyright registration form? However, according to Jerry Brito, an executive director at non-profit organization coin center, registering copyright is just filling a form. The Copyright office doesn’t investigate the validity of the form. If there are competing claims, the office will register all of them. Copyright office also mentions that copyright registration is voluntary. Anyone can claim the copyright registration.

Some people may worry about that Craig Wright can stop people from using Bitcoin Whitepaper and code without agreement since he is awarded the copyright. There is no need to worry. According to lawyer Jake Chervinsky, there’s literally no such thing as being awarded a copyright. The only benefit of registering with the Copyright Office is the right to sue for statutory damages & attorney’s fees. That’s to say, if the true owner finds someone claims the copyright of his work, he has the right to sue this person.

If anyone is still confused about the whole thing, current BSV price says it all. It nearly falls to the price before pump. This copyright registration is meaningless, which only shows Craig is not Satoshi.
